International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day Message from the Association of Kenyans in Burundi
On this International Women’s Day, the Association of Kenyans in Burundi celebrates the remarkable Kenyan women in our community and around the world.
We acknowledge the vital contributions you make, from nurturing families and building businesses to leading in government and advocating for change. Your strength, resilience, and determination inspire us all.
This year’s theme, “Breaking the Bias”, resonates deeply. We recognize the challenges women still face – gender stereotypes, discrimination, and limited opportunities. The Association of Kenyans in Burundi stands with you in your fight for equality.
Here in Burundi, we especially want to celebrate the Kenyan women who:
Bridge the cultural gap between our communities.
Run successful businesses and contribute to the local economy.
Are active members of our association, shaping its future.
Advocate for the well-being of all Kenyans in Burundi.
We are committed to supporting women in our community by:
Creating a platform for women to connect and share experiences.
Promoting mentorship and leadership opportunities for young Kenyan women.
Advocating for policies that empower women.
Let us all work together, men and women, to create a world where Kenyan women, and all women, can reach their full potential.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Tunawapongeza wanawake wa Kenya kwa nguvu na uthabiti wenu! (We celebrate Kenyan women for your strength and resilience!)
Regards,
The Association of Kenyans in Burundi
