Happy Independence Day, Burundi, from the Association of Kenyans in Burundi!

As Burundi gears up to celebrate its independence on 1st July, the Association of Kenyans in Burundi extends its warmest wishes to all our Burundian brothers and sisters.

For many years, Burundi has stood tall as a nation of resilience, rich culture, and breathtaking beauty. We, the Kenyans in Burundi, are grateful to call this land our second home and be part of the vibrant tapestry of Burundian society.

We have witnessed firsthand the warmth and hospitality of the Burundian people. We have been inspired by your strength and determination in the face of challenges. On this Independence Day, we celebrate the spirit of Ubumwe, Ibidukiriye, Ntaguraka (Unity, Patriotism, Work) that has propelled Burundi forward.

May this Independence Day be filled with joy, festivities, and a renewed sense of national pride. We at the Association of Kenyans in Burundi stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you as we celebrate this momentous occasion.

Here’s to a future filled with peace, prosperity, and ever-strengthening ties between Kenya and Burundi!

Turashimira Idupendentse ye Burundi! (We celebrate Burundi’s Independence!)
